Home Credit India is hiring a Payroll Administrator for an on-site role in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. The position falls under the Shared Services function and reports to the Head Shared Services. The incumbent will lead end-to-end payroll operations for a large workforce of 10,000+ employees, including Fixed Term Employees. This role demands deep expertise in payroll processing, taxation, SAP S/4HANA payroll, payroll accounting, financial controls, reconciliations, audit governance, and budgeting. Experience in Workline would be an added advantage. The incumbent will act as the Payroll Subject Matter Expert, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong governance, while working closely with Finance, HR, Compliance, Audit, Corporate Taxation, and HR Technology teams. Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end payroll processing for 10,000+ employees across multiple locations ensuring timely and accurate execution and payroll master data integrity, ensuring accurate employee deductions that includes Perquisites, Income Tax and Statutory contributions required for monthly compliances, managing Employee Benefits such as Gratuity, Leave, NPS etc. and Actuarial Valuation, validating payroll outputs and reconciliation reports before release, establishing and maintaining robust payroll controls and validation checks, ensuring payroll delivery within defined timelines and SLAs, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure compliance and data accuracy, managing Salary or Payroll-to-GL reconciliations, Bank reconciliations for salary disbursements, JV Posting, Monthly Payroll provisions and accruals reporting, supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures, supporting budgeting, manpower cost planning, payroll forecasting, and variance analysis, strengthening internal controls and risk mitigation frameworks, managing and driving SAP S/4HANA Payroll and Workline HRIS along with enhancements and automation initiatives as a functional SME including UAT and monitoring production movement, collaborating with HR Tech and IT for transformation projects, leading payroll-related audits that include Internal, Statutory, IFC or any other External Audits followed by driving timely closure of audit findings, ensuring comprehensive documentation, approvals, and audit trails and supporting RCSA or governance frameworks, developing and maintaining payroll MIS, dashboards, and reports, analyzing payroll trends, variances, and anomalies, preparing and publishing workforce cost analytics and insights, supporting leadership with data-driven decision-making reports, partnering effectively with Finance, HR Business Teams, HR Technology and any other Internal or External Stakeholders, managing escalations and acting as the primary point of contact for payroll, leading, mentoring, and developing the payroll team by driving a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement, and ensuring high service standards and operational excellence. The desired candidate profile includes a Graduate in any discipline with MBA/PGDM, M-Phil, or M. Com preferred along with HR experience, certifications in Payroll, Taxation, Labour Laws, SAP HCM or Workline are preferred, 5 to 10 years of experience in Payroll Operations with in-house Payroll processing experience of minimum 5,000+ employees, experience managing Fixed Term Employees, minimum 5 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA Payroll, and experience in Workline HRIS is an added advantage.
