Job Description
Piramal Pharma Ltd is looking for a Deputy Manager in Payroll to support the Payroll Lead in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations within an outsourced payroll model. The role focuses on validation, controls, accounting, and payroll-related statutory compliance while working closely with the external payroll vendor and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include maintaining deep understanding of salary structures, payroll components and wage accounting, reconciling payroll reports with accounting records, coordinating with internal teams for accurate salary booking and expense allocation, ensuring correct accounting of statutory deductions such as PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, TDS, gratuity and bonus provisions, managing General Ledger accounting and reconciliation related to salaries, wages, employee benefits and operational expenses, performing monthly GL reconciliation of payroll accounts, provisions, accruals and expense ledgers, utilizing SAP HANA Finance modules for accounting transactions, reconciliations and financial reporting, managing TDS compliance including deduction, reconciliation and filing for salary and vendor payments, ensuring accurate preparation and reconciliation of TDS returns including Form 24Q and 26Q, handling Income Tax notices, assessments and departmental queries, preparing and analysing MIS reports related to payroll costs and salary trends, conducting variance analysis and cost monitoring for manpower expenses, managing internal audits, statutory audits and tax audits related to payroll and expense accounts, and implementing strong internal controls for payroll accounting, tax compliance and expense management.
