Job Description
Join India Child Protection (ICP), a leading civil society organization established in 2005 and dedicated to preventing child sexual exploitation, trafficking, child marriage and all forms of violence against children. The organization operates in the Nonprofit Organization Management sector and works across 416 districts in 29 States and Union Territories in collaboration with government agencies, law enforcement, the judiciary and civil society organizations. This position is based at the headquarters in New Delhi.
The Manager - Human Resources is responsible for implementing the organization's HR strategy and managing end-to-end human resource operations. The role oversees recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, HR compliance, employee relations, HRMIS, policy implementation and compensation administration while fostering an inclusive, high-performing and mission-driven workplace.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.
Coordinate workforce planning with department heads.
Ensure smooth onboarding, induction and probation management.
Strengthen employer branding and candidate experience.
HR Operations
Manage employee lifecycle activities including appointments, confirmations, transfers, promotions and separations.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Oversee HRMIS, attendance, leave management and personnel records.
Prepare timely HR reports and maintain complete documentation.
Performance Management
Coordinate the organization-wide performance management system.
Support managers in goal setting, appraisals and performance reviews.
Monitor performance improvement plans where required.
Promote a culture of accountability and continuous feedback.
Learning & Development
Identify organizational learning and training needs.
Coordinate training programmes, leadership development and capacity-building initiatives.
Monitor training effectiveness and maintain learning records.
Encourage continuous professional development.
Employee Engagement & Relations
Develop employee engagement initiatives and strengthen workplace culture.
Manage employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
Promote employee well-being and workplace harmony.
Facilitate effective communication between employees and management.
HR Compliance
Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements.
Implement HR policies, procedures and organizational guidelines.
Support internal and external HR audits.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, POSH and organizational policies.
Compensation & Benefits
Support payroll coordination and salary administration.
Administer employee benefits and insurance programmes.
Maintain compensation records and support annual salary review processes.
HR Reporting & Analytics
Prepare HR dashboards, MIS reports and workforce analytics.
Analyse HR metrics to support organizational decision-making.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of HR information.
Key Performance Indicators
Ensure timely recruitment and onboarding of qualified candidates.
Implement HR policies and organizational initiatives effectively.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Efficiently manage HRMIS, attendance, leave and personnel data.
Complete performance management processes on time.
Coordinate learning and development programmes successfully.
Improve employee engagement and workplace satisfaction.
Resolve employee grievances and disciplinary matters promptly.
Ensure compliance with labour laws, safeguarding standards, POSH requirements and organizational policies.
Prepare timely HR reports, dashboards and workforce analytics.
Support effective compensation, benefits and employee welfare administration.
Collaborate closely with departmental managers to address people-related needs.
Continuously improve HR systems, processes and service delivery.
Requirements
Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
Professional certification in Human Resources, Labour Laws, HR Analytics or Organizational Development is desirable.
Certification in POSH, Talent Management or Performance Management will be an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
Experience in HR generalist functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR operations.
Experience in NGOs, development organizations or mission-driven organizations is preferred.
Working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
Strong knowledge of recruitment, talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, HRMIS, HR analytics, HR policy implementation, payroll coordination, compensation administration, employee engagement and learning and development.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, planning, stakeholder management, integrity, confidentiality, adaptability and commitment to child rights, safeguarding, diversity, equity and inclusion.
