EAII Advisors, Evidence Action's technical partner in India, supports state governments in delivering evidence-based public health programs, including safe drinking water initiatives, National Deworming Day, and iron and folic acid supplementation. Operating across 10 states, the organization works with ministries of health, education, water, and women & child development to improve public health outcomes and the long-term well-being of children and families. The Senior Manager, People & Culture will support the Director of People & Culture in developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs. The role will oversee employee relations, HR operations, talent management, performance management, payroll, multi-state compliance, and employee engagement while leading a growing HR team.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
β’ Support workforce planning, organizational design, and change management initiatives.
β’ Develop and implement employee engagement programs to enhance workplace culture.
β’ Lead HR operations while ensuring compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
β’ Manage end-to-end payroll across multiple states with accuracy and statutory compliance.
β’ Oversee HR policies, employee handbook updates, and process standardization across all operating states.
β’ Handle employee relations, grievance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
β’ Manage HR budgets and optimize resources for strategic HR initiatives.
β’ Own Total Rewards including compensation structuring, benchmarking, insurance management, and employee benefits.
β’ Drive HR process improvements using analytics and data-driven insights.
β’ Manage the complete employee lifecycle including onboarding, engagement, development, and offboarding.
β’ Lead performance management, goal setting, development planning, and feedback cycles.
β’ Develop learning, leadership development, reward, and recognition programs.
β’ Promote employee wellbeing, work-life balance, wellness initiatives, and mental health support.
β’ Organize employee engagement events, leadership forums, and team-building activities.
β’ Lead and develop the People & Culture team while supporting organizational growth.
Requirements:
β’ Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
β’ Relevant HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR are desirable.
β’ Minimum 12 years of HR management experience.
β’ Strong expertise in payroll, labour law compliance, employee relations, HR operations, and talent management.
β’ Experience in the social impact or development sector is preferred.
β’ Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and team development skills.
β’ Experience managing performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
β’ Knowledge of HRIS systems and HR analytics.
β’ Excellent problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
β’ Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
