The HR Manager will lead the Human Resources function and play a strategic role in developing HR initiatives that support business growth. This position is responsible for talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, HR compliance, workforce planning, training and development, and aligning HR strategies with organizational objectives. The role reports directly to the Director.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the complete recruitment lifecycle including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer management, and onboarding.
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent within the EdTech industry.
Collaborate with department heads to understand workforce requirements and create effective job descriptions aligned with business objectives.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging work culture that improves employee satisfaction and retention.
Handle employee relations, resolve workplace concerns, mediate conflicts, and support performance improvement initiatives.
Plan and organize employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and team-building initiatives.
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with labour laws and employment regulations.
Manage employee records, payroll coordination, and benefits administration.
Oversee the performance appraisal process and support goal setting, career development, and succession planning.
Implement performance improvement initiatives to enhance employee productivity.
Identify organizational training needs and coordinate learning and development programs.
Manage the onboarding process to ensure smooth integration of new employees.
Work closely with senior leadership to develop HR strategies aligned with business growth plans.
Conduct HR audits and provide insights on workforce trends, employee satisfaction, and compensation.
Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR leadership role, preferably within the EdTech or technology industry.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and employment regulations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Proficiency in HR software, HR tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills
Experience with HR analytics and data-driven decision making.
Understanding of the EdTech industry and its workforce challenges.
