STEPS Talent is hiring a Senior Technical Recruiter for a remote work opportunity in India. This role supports United States business hours and is designed for experienced engineering recruiters who enjoy solving complex hiring challenges for enterprise clients. STEPS Talent partners with global organisations to recruit highly specialised engineering professionals across Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, Hardware Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Data Centres, Critical Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities, Electric Vehicles and Original Equipment Manufacturers. The selected candidate will manage the complete recruitment lifecycle for engineering and technical positions while recruiting professionals ranging from individual contributors to engineering leadership roles across multiple engineering disciplines. Responsibilities include conducting structured technical qualification discussions, evaluating engineering capabilities beyond resume content, aligning compensation expectations, work authorisation, availability, location preferences and project delivery requirements at the initial stages of the hiring process.
The role requires sourcing, assessing and presenting high quality candidates, maintaining recruitment momentum from requirement intake through offer and joining, ensuring exceptional client communication and delivering accurate, submission ready candidate profiles. The recruiter will work within STEPS Talent's structured recruitment workflow and utilise the company's Hiring Intelligence Platform to improve sourcing strategies, candidate evaluation, technical qualification and recruitment consistency.
Applicants must have prior engineering recruitment experience. Experience recruiting Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Manufacturing, Industrial, Original Equipment Manufacturer or related engineering professionals is mandatory. Candidates with only Information Technology recruitment experience will not be considered. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred. Previous engineering industry experience and expertise in enterprise hiring within manufacturing, industrial technology, power electronics, energy, data centres, electric vehicles or semiconductor sectors will be an added advantage.
The role offers a competitive base salary based on experience along with an uncapped commission structure for both contract and permanent placements.
