Cantor Fitzgerald is hiring a Senior Payroll Analyst to manage payroll operations for a large, multi-state workforce. Job Summary
The Senior Payroll Analyst will be responsible for managing and executing payroll operations for more than 1,000 employees across multiple states. The role requires expertise in payroll calculations, payroll audits, tax compliance, HRIS integration, reporting, and resolving complex payroll issues while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Process weekly, biweekly, or semimonthly payroll cycles in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Import employee working hours from time and production records to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Calculate gross pay, deductions, tax withholdings, and net pay using established payroll procedures.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports and checks to field offices.
Audit data exchanges between HRIS and payroll systems to ensure data accuracy.
Support periodic and annual payroll audits including BLS, MWR, and Workers Compensation audits.
Ensure timely processing of new hire documentation, employee changes, and termination paperwork.
Validate direct deposit information, tax withholdings, and payroll deductions.
Collaborate with HR teams to investigate and resolve complex payroll-related issues.
Support special payroll processing requirements and reporting activities.
Prepare general ledger entries and communicate payroll information to relevant business units.
Support payroll tax audits and manage payroll areas including unions, garnishments, taxes, and banking relationships.
Ensure payroll records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
Work Schedule
Shift Timings: 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM OR 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM
Work Mode: Hybrid, three days per week from office.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
4–7 years of professional payroll experience with strong W2 reconciliation knowledge.
Experience managing payroll operations for 1,000+ employees.
Strong understanding of multi-state payroll and union payroll processing.
Experience working with payroll systems.
Knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as Oracle or Workday is preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of payroll regulations and audit processes.
High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently.
