The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle, with strong ownership of payroll inputs, onboarding and exits, statutory compliance coordination, compensation changes, and day-to-day employee data governance. The role works closely with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HR Shared Services, Finance, and external statutory consultants.
This is a seasoned and experienced professional role requiring a full understanding of the area of specialization. The position involves resolving a wide range of HR operational issues in creative ways and working independently with limited day-to-day instruction. The role requires sound judgment when evaluating data, selecting appropriate methods and techniques, managing diverse operational matters, and collaborating with senior internal and external stakeholders.
The position is a contract role for an initial duration of 4β5 months and requires an immediate joiner. The role is fully onsite at Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, India.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Payroll & Compensation Operations:
Prepare and submit monthly payroll input packs within defined payroll cut-off dates. Inputs include new joiners, exits, salary revisions, promotions, allowances, deductions, and bonuses.
Coordinate approvals and resolve payroll-related queries with HR Shared Services and Payroll teams.
Prepare Full and Final settlement inputs and ensure timely processing for employee exits.
Onboarding & New Hire Coordination:
Share weekly new joiner details with relevant stakeholders including Admin, IT, Front Desk, and Talent Acquisition.
Coordinate New Hire Orientation logistics and attendance.
Act as the HR point of contact for Day 1 readiness, including ID and system access coordination.
Employee Lifecycle Management:
Manage probation confirmations and extensions, including maintaining trackers, following up with managers, and coordinating required letters.
Coordinate exit formalities, exit clearances, and manager approvals.
Maintain complete and accurate employee documentation for audit requirements.
Attendance, Allowances & Data Reconciliation:
Reconcile attendance, work from home records, leave, shift allowances, and on-call allowances.
Follow up with managers and employees for corrections in Oracle HCM.
Ensure accurate employee data and attendance information is reflected in payroll inputs.
Statutory & Compliance Coordination:
Coordinate statutory data submissions, including employment exchange and other required data.
Liaise with external statutory consultants and internal stakeholders.
Arrange signed documents and maintain submission trackers.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting:
Act as the primary point of contact for HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HR Shared Services, Admin, and Finance on HR operational matters.
Validate headcount and HR data used for leadership reporting.
Proactively identify and escalate operational risks.
The candidate should demonstrate the ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high level of accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with strong program management and multitasking capabilities.
Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required. Knowledge of a second language is an advantage. Solid proficiency in the MS Office suite is expected.
The role requires strong leadership, time management, facilitation, organization, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities. The candidate should be able to identify innovative ways to resolve HR operational challenges and demonstrate knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes.
A strong understanding of HR processes, practices, and regulations is required, along with experience in HR transformation initiatives.
