Balkan HR is hiring a Chief Human Resource Officer for one of its clients based in Mumbai. The organization is looking for a senior HR leader with extensive experience in strategic HR leadership, industrial relations, workforce management, labour law compliance, and organizational development within large-scale business environments.
The role requires deep expertise in Indian labour laws, industrial relations, negotiation management, and handling large blue-collar workforce operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives, workforce planning, talent management, performance management, compensation & benefits, HR digitization, learning & development, ESG initiatives, and HR operations across the organization.
Key responsibilities include managing industrial relations and labour negotiations, handling crisis situations such as labour unrest, strikes, and accidents, ensuring statutory compliance, supporting productivity and organizational effectiveness, driving leadership and stakeholder management initiatives, and implementing HR transformation and digitization programs. The role also involves oversight of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) initiatives and people-focused strategic planning.
The ideal candidate should have 25+ years of HR leadership experience with strong exposure to manufacturing or industrial workforce environments, labour relations, compliance management, and large-scale people operations. Candidates should possess strong analytical thinking, data-driven decision-making abilities, crisis management expertise, and excellent stakeholder management capabilities. Full-time postgraduate qualification in Human Resources from reputed institutes is required.
