The Talent Development Manager will serve as a strategic and operational partner responsible for executing high-impact capability and performance frameworks that drive a high-accountability culture within TVHβs Global Capability Centre in India. Operating in a highly collaborative matrix environment, the role will act as a critical bridge between global strategy and local execution.
The selected candidate will partner directly with the Global Centre of Expertise to adopt, localise, and embed global talent and development processes while working closely with local leadership and the local HR Business Partnering team to address business-specific requirements. The role will serve as a trusted talent partner to local leadership and key business stakeholders by diagnosing organisational skill gaps, consulting on team needs, and translating operational challenges into actionable development strategies.
The role will involve designing targeted learning solutions that align regional initiatives with overall business objectives. These initiatives will focus on elevating team capabilities and driving long-term performance, employee engagement, and professional growth.
The incumbent will champion organisational agility by leading local talent development initiatives, driving adoption and engagement of performance technology such as Workday, YPM, and LMS, improving team skills and capabilities, and supporting the management of talent review and succession pipelines. By ensuring local goals remain aligned with global standards, the position will contribute to minimising organisational risk, closing critical skill gaps, and improving overall business performance.
Where required, and in collaboration with country-specific local HR teams, the role will also drive talent development initiatives and facilitate global training programmes across key APAC markets outside India, including China, Australia, and Singapore.
Talent Development:
Learning and Training:
Conduct Training Need Analysis to identify targeted training requirements by examining specific job tasks, team efficiency, and performance gaps. Use these insights to determine appropriate learning methods, including training sessions and courses designed to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
Conduct comprehensive Skill Gap Analysis by evaluating current employee capabilities against organisational requirements. Develop reskilling and upskilling frameworks and identify critical talent shortages, including niche skills and critical knowledge areas where the potential impact of capability loss would be significant for the organisation.
Design, execute, and monitor continuous learning methods, learning programmes, capability models, and performance development initiatives. Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of training interventions and ensure that learning solutions continue to meet evolving organisational needs.
Design targeted professional growth pathways that include strategic local and global cross-functional stretch assignments for key talent. Facilitate a wide range of instructor-led and self-paced learning programmes and oversee functional skill training such as Finance for Non-Financials and technical competency development.
Manage relationships with local training providers and ensure effective coordination and delivery of external learning interventions.
Leadership Pipeline and Career Pathways:
Provide leadership coaching and guidance to support career path development and individual development plans for high-potential employees. Partner with managers to cultivate internal talent pipelines through structured mentoring and succession planning to mitigate leadership risks.
Utilise external coaching partnerships for selected managerial levels to help bridge knowing-doing gaps and strengthen leadership effectiveness.
In partnership with the HR Manager, lead and facilitate the Talent Review and succession planning process to identify high-potential talent, map capabilities, and mitigate leadership risk. Work closely with business leaders to evaluate workforce performance and potential while ensuring objective calibration and a transparent approach to talent identification.
Drive the development of high-performing leadership teams, including local and functional management groups such as IMT and Data Leadership Team. Focus on team dynamics, alignment, collective effectiveness, and performance to ensure senior leadership structures operate at their highest potential.
Organisational Development:
Culture and Engagement:
Manage employee engagement surveys to nurture a positive organisational culture. Translate survey data into actionable insights and initiatives designed to improve workplace morale, employee satisfaction, engagement, and long-term retention.
Driving a Performance-Based Culture and System Adoption:
Cultivate a high-accountability and performance-driven culture by leading the adoption and continuous improvement of the YPM process. Ensure performance frameworks function as active strategic tools rather than merely administrative processes.
Drive and align Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies across the APAC region. Oversee regional DEI programmes, align activities with the global team, and collaborate with business leaders and key stakeholders to build and scale inclusive workplace practices.
Manage end-to-end DEI programme execution, measure impact, and foster a strong sense of belonging across APAC.
Change Management:
When required, implement structured change management initiatives that minimise disruption and maximise employee adoption of new or existing initiatives. Act as a bridge between strategic transformation objectives and day-to-day operations, ensuring changes in technology, processes, culture, or organisational structures are integrated smoothly.
Organisational Transformation:
Ensure strategic alignment between HR practices and business objectives by connecting talent development efforts with the companyβs long-term commercial goals. Focus on identifying future leaders who can deliver results, lead teams, and cultivate innovation in line with TVH values.
Lead Organisational Development initiatives aimed at improving system-wide organisational effectiveness, including driving change management initiatives and supporting broader transformation objectives.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
The candidate should have a Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications in coaching or Organisational Development are highly desirable.
The role requires 7+ years of experience in Learning and Development, Organisational Development, or HR, along with a proven track record of managing complex development projects in a corporate environment.
Excellent facilitation, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management capabilities are required. The candidate should be able to influence senior leadership, build trust across diverse teams, and establish effective partnerships with local HR, the Global Centre of Expertise, and broader APAC teams.
Technical knowledge should include familiarity with Learning Management Systems, instructional design principles, strong facilitation capabilities, and data analysis for measuring programme effectiveness. Proficiency in HR technology and the ability to track return on investment from training investments are also required.
