Talent Acquisition (TA) sources and hires top talent for American Express globally, supporting early career, experienced professional, executive hiring, and our New to Blue onboarding experience. The Director, Campus Talent Acquisition provides leadership for across India and Asia Pacific, driving a unified regional strategy that aligns global priorities with local market execution. Key responsibilities include advancing consistent hiring practices and governance, fostering collaboration and the exchange of best practices across markets, and ensuring the organization is well positioned to meet current and future talent needs in support of business growth. The Director will define and execute the regional early careers talent acquisition strategy, partnering closely with business leaders, Colleague Strategic Partners (HR Business Partners), Recruitment Marketing, the Programs Center of Excellence, and other enterprise stakeholders to attract, assess, and hire exceptional early career talent. This leader will build innovative sourcing strategies, strengthen strategic university partnerships, elevate the employer brand, and deliver an exceptional experience for candidates, hiring leaders, and recruiters across internships and full-time campus hiring. Success in this role requires a strategic, externally focused leader with deep expertise across India and Asia Pacific who can translate enterprise strategy into scalable regional execution. The ideal candidate will combine commercial acumen, operational excellence, and exceptional people leadership to build sustainable early talent pipelines, lead a high-performing regional team, and advance American Express' position as an employer of choice across the region. Responsibilities include Campus Talent Acquisition Strategy (defining and executing multi-year strategy across India and APAC, shaping regional operating model, serving on Campus TA Leadership Team, driving alignment between global priorities and regional execution, advising senior leaders on workforce planning and talent intelligence), University Partnerships, Employer Brand and Talent Attraction (developing innovative sourcing strategies, building strategic university and industry partnerships, partnering with Recruitment Marketing on integrated campus marketing, championing the Colleague Value Proposition, identifying new sourcing channels and diverse talent pipelines), Operational Excellence and Delivery (leading end-to-end campus recruitment operations across India and APAC, leveraging data and analytics to optimize hiring, driving continuous improvement through process simplification and technology adoption, establishing strong governance and risk management practices, measuring and improving candidate and stakeholder experiences), and Enterprise Partnership and People Leadership (building trusted partnerships across HR functions, partnering with Campus Programs Center of Excellence on onboarding and development, collaborating with TA colleagues regionally, leading and developing a high-performing Campus TA team, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and operational excellence). Qualifications include 10+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience with significant leadership in Campus or Early Careers recruitment across India and Asia Pacific, demonstrated success in developing and executing enterprise-wide early careers strategies across multiple countries, proven experience leading geographically distributed TA teams, deep understanding of university recruitment ecosystems across India and key APAC markets, strong operational leadership using data, analytics, governance, and process excellence, demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior leaders across functions and cultures. Preferred Qualifications include experience on a TA leadership team leading transformation or operating model evolution, strong client service orientation with commercial acumen, exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills, strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into scalable regional solutions, success leading complex cross-functional initiatives across countries and business groups, strong understanding of employer branding, diversity recruiting, emerging TA technologies, and early careers trends across APAC, and an established network of university and industry partners across India and APAC. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
