Job Summary As Compensation Lead, you will lead the delivery and administration of compensation programs across the region. While this role has no direct reports, it provides regional leadership and collaboration with regional support resources. This position reports to the Regional HR Manager, Middle East & Africa.
Major Responsibilities Identifies and researches industry trends, legislative updates, and best practices to ensure compensation programs, policies, and processes are current, effective, and meet business goals. Participates in compensation benchmarking, interacts with the partner consulting organizations and analyses the market data. Identifies additional data sources relevant to the region. Administer Bechtel policies, programs, and practices effectively to support business objectives and ensure consistent application across the region. Delivers annual total compensation planning which includes testing, providing day to day support to planning managers on tools and guidelines, and partnering with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) in finalizing plans. Partners with Talent Acquisition team, hiring managers, and HRBP to review/recommend salaries for offers and promotions/adjustments. Other responsibilities as designated.
Education And Experience Requirements Requires bachelor degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Experience training and presenting to large audiences. Prior experience supporting compensation administration in the Middle East.
Required Knowledge And Skills Ability to exercise initiative and make decisions with little or no supervision and be accountable for such actions. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills. Strong data analytics skills. Ability to work in a high-volume transaction environment. Demonstrated knowledge and experience participating in and analyzing external benefit and salary surveys.
