We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our Finance team based in Pune. This role is responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining a positive employee experience, driving continuous process improvements, and supporting payroll-related accounting activities, including reconciliations, payroll compliance documentation, audit support, and management reporting.
Key Requirements & Responsibilities:

Own and manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for India employees, including the preparation, validation, and review of payroll inputs and reports.

Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of payroll processing in compliance with applicable statutory requirements.

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll, tax computation, and statutory queries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Develop and maintain payroll reconciliation controls, audit schedules, and statutory documentation.

Support payroll-related accounting activities, including GL reconciliations, variance reviews, and month-end reporting.

Identify process gaps, operational risks, and inefficiencies, and drive initiatives focused on process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.

Stay updated on payroll legislation, taxation changes, and payroll statutory compliance requirements to ensure ongoing adherence to regulations.

Partner with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to ensure accurate employee data management, statutory compliance, and timely payroll delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor or master degree in commerce (B.Com or M.Com), MBA, or equivalent qualification.

4 to 6 years of hands-on experience managing India payroll operations, including payroll compliance, taxation, and payroll accounting support.

Strong working knowledge of payroll tools such as Paysquare, Rippling, Workday, or similar HRMS and ERP platforms.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex payroll and taxation matters clearly and professionally.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Solid accounting knowledge with exposure to global payroll is highly preferred.
