Job Description
Vertiv is hiring a Supervisor HR Services to lead and oversee human resources operations, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, performance management, training, compensation, benefits administration, and HR service delivery. The role is responsible for supervising HR activities while ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and organizational objectives.
The position involves planning, scheduling, supervising, and reviewing the work of HR staff engaged in various human resources functions. Responsibilities include assigning work, evaluating performance, prioritizing workloads, implementing procedures, conducting staff meetings, and ensuring effective office operations. The role also includes training team members on policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and coordinating employment practices with a strong emphasis on employee relations, labor relations, personnel administration, equal opportunity programs, and compliance with applicable labor laws. Ensure maintenance of required employee records, documentation, and compliance files.
Coordinate performance management processes with Human Resources Advisors to ensure employees receive performance evaluations, understand their development needs, and align their goals with organizational objectives. Support managers in driving employee development and performance improvement initiatives.
Oversee recruitment and employment activities to ensure qualified candidates are sourced, screened, interviewed, and hired for company positions. Manage hiring strategies to maintain staffing levels and reduce employee turnover. Conduct competency-based interviews and oversee applicant tracking systems.
Administer pre-employment and post-offer processes including drug and alcohol testing programs, background verification, onboarding, orientation, and employee integration activities. Ensure compliance with recruitment governance standards and employment regulations.
Lead HR audits and ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and internal controls. Coordinate and implement training programs including new employee orientation, communication initiatives, employee surveys, career counseling programs, and certification tracking.
Build and maintain relationships with veterans, protected groups, and community organizations. Ensure job postings reach diverse talent pools and support Equal Employment Opportunity initiatives and reporting requirements.
Recommend employee relations practices that foster positive workplace relationships and employee engagement. Conduct investigations into employee complaints and workplace issues. Counsel managers and supervisors on employee relations matters, disciplinary actions, performance concerns, and policy interpretation.
Drive employee communication initiatives and ensure effective communication of organizational policies, procedures, and programs. Participate in continuous improvement activities and management meetings to support business objectives.
Maintain legal employment records and documentation including EEO logs, workplace postings, I-9 records, E-Verify documentation, background checks, licenses, certifications, and compliance records. Administer compensation programs, performance evaluation processes, benefits administration, and HRIS data management.
Represent the organization during employment-related investigations, hearings, audits, and personnel matters as required.
The ideal candidate should possess an Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role. Experience in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
Candidates should demonstrate strong HRMS experience, data management skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, confidentiality, employee relations expertise, problem-solving abilities, stakeholder management skills, and knowledge of labor laws, compensation practices, HR procedures, and compliance requirements.
The role requires excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, organizational effectiveness, attention to detail, and the capability to partner effectively with managers and leaders across all organizational levels to deliver HR solutions and business results.
