Job Description
Clinikally is looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Associate – Payroll & Compliances to support payroll processing, statutory compliance, and total rewards operations. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working with payroll systems, compensation structures, employee data, compliance processes, and HR operations in a fast-paced startup environment.
The selected candidate will support end-to-end monthly payroll processing for employees, interns, consultants, and other workforce categories. Responsibilities include collecting, validating, and processing payroll inputs such as attendance, leaves, loss of pay (LOP), overtime, incentives, reimbursements, arrears, deductions, and payroll adjustments. The role requires close coordination with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll closure.
The candidate will maintain payroll trackers, salary structures, payout records, and employee compensation data while ensuring payroll accuracy through validation of salary components, statutory deductions, and final payout calculations. The role also involves supporting salary structuring, CTC breakups, compensation revisions, increment letters, appraisal updates, and payroll-related employee records.
Additional responsibilities include assisting in the calculation and processing of performance bonuses, incentives, variable pay, one-time payouts, and maintaining records of compensation changes and total rewards data. The candidate will support HR and Finance teams through payroll reports, compensation MIS reports, payout summaries, and workforce compensation analytics.
The role requires supporting statutory compliance activities related to Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), and other applicable labor compliance requirements. Responsibilities include preparing and validating PF and ESIC data, coordinating with consultants and vendors for statutory filings, challans, compliance documentation, and maintaining compliance records including KYC details, UAN information, nomination records, and employee statutory documentation.
The candidate will monitor employee joining, exit, and salary changes to ensure timely compliance updates. Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, analytical abilities, confidentiality, and coordination skills are essential for success in this role.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of payroll processing, statutory compliance, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, labor compliance processes, HRMS platforms, payroll software, Excel, and Google Sheets. Experience within startups, D2C businesses, healthcare, retail, or e-commerce organizations will be an added advantage.
