Job Description
The GEO POPS Specialist acts as the execution authority and market operator responsible for translating organizational policies and statutory requirements into accurate day-to-day Human Resources operations. The role coordinates issue resolution and ensures compliant outcomes within the operating posture, controls and guardrails established by the GEO POPS Manager.

Market Execution and Operations
Manage GEO-level execution for assigned countries across the local hire-to-retire employee lifecycle.
Execute statutory operations, correspondence with authorities, statutory filings and local documentation workflows.
Act as the single People Operations escalation point for employee-impacting issues within the assigned scope.
Risk Signalling and Evidence Stewardship
Identify and report operational and compliance risks at an early stage by providing supporting facts, evidence and possible resolution options.
Maintain the documentation, records and supporting materials required for audits and inspections.
Execute assigned responsibilities within defined controls, signatory rules and delegation frameworks.
Follow Delegation of Authority and signatory governance requirements and document risk classifications where permitted.
Operational Analytics, Signal Detection and Insight Contribution
Maintain high-quality operational data, including case logs, defect classifications, payroll tags and readiness indicators, so that dashboards and analytics remain accurate and dependable.
Monitor daily performance signals, including case ageing, recurring issues, payroll-impact indicators, statutory deadlines and operational readiness gaps.
Proactively identify and escalate emerging risks.
Provide structured insights that explain patterns, likely root causes and recommended actions based on available evidence.
Support root cause analysis and preventive action tracking.
Ensure agreed improvements across processes, data, employee guidance and automation are implemented and remain effective.
Use dashboards and reports as active operational tools to adjust priorities and escalation decisions based on current information.
Policy-to-Pay and Payroll Interface Coordination
Act as the primary Human Resources intake point for employee-impacting payroll issues.
Triage payroll matters according to urgency and impact.
Distinguish isolated payroll errors from broader systemic defects and coordinate resolution across relevant teams.
Translate Human Resources policies, compensation changes, employee benefits and statutory updates into clear and payroll-ready inputs.
Identify dependencies, readiness gaps and operational risks before changes affect payroll.
Coordinate with Payroll, People Operations Product and Delivery teams, Centres of Excellence, Human Resources partners and external vendors to ensure payroll inputs are complete and submitted on time.
Orchestration and Partner Management
Coordinate work across People Operations Product and Delivery units, GEO Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, vendors, Legal, Risk and Privacy teams.
Ensure clear handoffs and prevent gaps in accountability.
Participate in geography-specific transformation initiatives where data indicates recurring manual work, repeated errors or frequent escalations.
Statutory Operations and Compliance Execution
Maintain current knowledge of applicable statutory requirements and convert them into practical steps, checklists and controls.
Respond to inspections, audits and government enquiries by providing accurate evidence and coordinating responses within the required timelines.
Act as a GEO signature owner where legally permitted and within the centralized governance and Delegation of Authority model.
Ensure consistent, compliant and auditable execution through approved digital tools and controls.
Vendor Coordination
Coordinate the day-to-day execution of vendor activities where applicable.
Review and validate vendor outputs.
Escalate quality and compliance concerns with supporting evidence.
Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Assets
Contribute to process improvements, operational playbooks, documentation and knowledge resources.
Ensure relevant knowledge assets remain current and accurate.
Support transformation initiatives and transitions to automated or outsourced operating models through disciplined execution.
Help shift suitable work to Tier 1 or Tier 2 service models, reduce manual country-specific complexity and support automation and Employee Hub maturity.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in Human Resources, Customer Support or a related field.
Alternatively, candidates may possess a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field along with at least 3 years of experience in Operations, Customer Support, Human Resources or a related area.
Strong operational Human Resources execution capabilities are required.
Candidates should have local statutory awareness covering India, the Asia-Pacific region, Australia and New Zealand.
Applicants must be capable of translating abstract policies into practical and executable steps.
Demonstrated experience working with metrics, dashboards and trend analysis to support operational decisions is required.
Hands-on experience in Human Resources generalist and HR Operations functions is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with 10 to 15 years of experience in Human Resources, Customer Support or a related field will be preferred.
A master’s degree will be advantageous.
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field and relevant experience in Operations, Customer Support or Human Resources may also be considered.
The position will remain open for a minimum of five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the role is filled.
