Connecting Chains is hiring a proactive and hands-on Plant HR professional to manage end-to-end Human Resources operations at a steel manufacturing plant in Medchal, Hyderabad. The role requires experience in plant HR, statutory compliance, employee relations, recruitment and day-to-day Human Resources operations within a manufacturing environment. Candidates with experience in steel, metal, engineering, automobile, cement or a similar manufacturing industry will be preferred.
Job Summary
The selected candidate will manage Human Resources operations for the plant workforce, including employees, operators, supervisors and staff. The role involves recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, attendance, payroll coordination, labour compliance, employee relations, contract labour management and Human Resources reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end recruitment for plant employees, operators, supervisors and staff.
Manage employee onboarding, induction, confirmation and exit formalities.
Maintain employee records, attendance data, leave records and Human Resources documentation.
Coordinate payroll inputs, overtime details and shift attendance with the payroll team.
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, the Factories Act, Provident Fund, Employees’ State Insurance, Contract Labour Regulation and Abolition Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Payment of Gratuity Act and other statutory requirements.
Manage contract labour and coordinate with labour contractors.
Maintain cordial employee relations and address employee grievances appropriately.
Support disciplinary actions and ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Coordinate employee engagement activities, welfare initiatives and training programs.
Liaise with government authorities during statutory inspections and audits.
Prepare Human Resources MIS reports, manpower reports and monthly HR dashboards.
Work closely with the Plant Head and Corporate Human Resources team to support business and workforce requirements.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess an MBA, MSW or PGDM in Human Resources or Personnel Management.
Applicants should have 4 to 7 years of Plant HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in steel, metal, engineering, automobile, cement or a similar manufacturing industry will be preferred.
Candidates should have good knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
Hands-on experience in payroll inputs, attendance management and contractor workforce management is required.
Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills are necessary.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRMS or ERP systems is required.
