Saint-Gobain Group in India is hiring a Manager - Human Resources for its Mumbai Metropolitan Region location. The role is responsible for partnering with business leaders to drive strategic HR initiatives across talent acquisition, learning and development, talent management, employee engagement and HR business partnering. The selected candidate will play a key role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives while ensuring a high-performance culture and strong employee experience.
The Talent Acquisition function includes managing the complete recruitment lifecycle for assigned business functions, partnering with business leaders to understand current and future hiring requirements, developing recruitment plans, managing hiring through RPO partners, recruitment consultants, job portals, employee referrals and social media, driving recruitment metrics including time to hire, quality of hire, offer to joining ratio and recruitment cost optimisation, ensuring an excellent candidate experience, coordinating interview scheduling, assessments, salary benchmarking, offer management, building talent pipelines for critical positions and driving employer branding initiatives.
The Learning and Development responsibilities include identifying capability gaps through business discussions, performance reviews and competency assessments, designing and implementing induction, functional, behavioural, managerial and leadership development programmes, coordinating with internal subject matter experts and external training partners, driving succession planning and leadership development initiatives, evaluating training effectiveness through assessments and business impact analysis, maintaining annual training calendars, learning budgets and records and promoting a culture of continuous learning across the organisation.
The Talent Management responsibilities include driving the performance management process covering goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals and development planning, partnering with business leaders on talent reviews and succession planning, supporting career development and internal mobility, identifying high-potential employees, recommending development interventions and guiding managers on performance improvement plans and employee development.
The Employee Engagement function includes planning and executing engagement initiatives to strengthen organisational culture, conducting employee feedback surveys, implementing action plans, supporting recognition and reward programmes, addressing employee concerns with confidentiality and driving communication initiatives to improve employee engagement and workplace experience.
As a Strategic HR Business Partner, the selected candidate will partner with business leaders on organisational design, workforce planning and change management, support organisational restructuring and transformation initiatives, analyse HR metrics to provide business insights, ensure HR policies comply with labour laws and organisational standards and professionally manage employee relations matters.
The role requires monitoring key performance indicators including time to hire, offer acceptance ratio, offer to joining conversion, quality of hire, recruitment cost optimisation, training completion, training effectiveness, leadership development, succession planning, internal promotions, employee retention, engagement scores and recognition programme effectiveness.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree along with an MBA, MMS, MHRM or PGDM in Human Resources from a recognised institution. Applicants should have more than 10 years of progressive HR experience including at least 3 to 4 years as an HR Business Partner in a manufacturing plant or site environment. Strong experience in end-to-end recruitment, learning and development, talent management, employee engagement, performance management, succession planning, leadership development, stakeholder management and HR analytics is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong business acumen, problem solving ability, communication, negotiation skills, integrity and confidentiality.
