SPERTON India - Where Great People Meet is hiring an HR Manager for its Navi Mumbai office. This is a full-time on-site opportunity. The HR Manager will be responsible for managing the complete employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, training and development, and overall Human Resources operations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the manufacturing industry and be capable of handling both strategic Human Resources initiatives and day-to-day operational responsibilities.
The selected candidate will manage end-to-end recruitment for staff, engineers, supervisors, and plant workforce. Responsibilities include developing and implementing Human Resources policies, processes, and standard operating procedures, managing onboarding, employee confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit formalities, driving performance management, goal setting, appraisal cycles, succession planning, and ensuring effective talent management practices.
The role includes ensuring compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory regulations, coordinating payroll inputs, attendance, leave management, and maintaining employee records. The candidate will resolve employee grievances, maintain positive employee relations, plan and execute employee engagement, welfare, and retention initiatives, identify training needs, coordinate learning and development programs, maintain HRMIS, prepare Human Resources dashboards, Management Information System reports, and workforce analytics.
Additional responsibilities include supporting Human Resources, ISO, statutory, and compliance audits, working closely with department heads on manpower planning and organizational development, ensuring disciplinary procedures are followed as per company policies, and promoting a positive workplace culture while driving Human Resources best practices across the organization.
Candidates should possess an MBA or PGDM in Human Resources or an equivalent qualification with 10 to 12 years of Human Resources Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, industrial, fabrication, or heavy engineering organizations. Applicants should have strong knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, payroll processes, employee relations, Human Resources Management Systems or Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Microsoft Excel, and experience handling both white-collar and blue-collar workforces. Experience managing more than 150 employees and exposure to ISO audits and Human Resources compliance documentation will be preferred. Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills are essential.
