The People Experience Partner will own the full employee lifecycle at EssentiallySports — from onboarding through exit — while building people systems, culture, and processes that enable a high-performance media organization to operate effectively. This is a generalist HR role with broad ownership across HR operations, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and employee relations. The candidate will work closely with business leaders and managers while operating with a high degree of ownership, independence, and accountability.
Key responsibilities include business partnering with team leads across multiple business units, supporting organizational design and headcount planning, driving performance review cycles including KRAs, calibration and documentation, coaching managers through feedback discussions and performance improvement plans, identifying high-potential employees and supporting career development initiatives, managing engagement surveys and retention initiatives, tracking employee sentiment and attrition risks, handling HR operations including payroll inputs, leave management, attendance tracking, dashboards and HR data management, managing employee relations and grievance handling, ensuring statutory compliance, and handling end-to-end offboarding processes including exit interviews and attrition analysis.
The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of HR experience with at least 1 year in a business-facing or generalist role along with an MBA in HR from a recognized institute. Candidates should have experience independently managing performance reviews, employee relations cases, PIPs, exits, and grievances. Strong expertise in Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive for HR operations management without HRMS tools is required. The role requires excellent communication, strong analytical thinking, understanding of Indian labour laws, and the ability to build HR processes from scratch in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in media, content, or creative organizations is an added advantage.
