LindstrΓΆm is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compensation & Benefits Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations for a multi-location workforce, including a significant blue-collar employee population. The role requires strong analytical skills, ownership mindset, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to handle large and complex employee data sets with high accuracy.
The incumbent will be responsible for payroll processing, attendance validation, statutory compliance, vendor coordination, employee query resolution, and payroll analytics, ensuring timely and accurate salary processing while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
LindstrΓΆm operates in the textile services industry. The company has operations across 24 countries with approximately 5,100 personnel globally.
The position involves accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing across multiple locations. The selected candidate will validate payroll inputs including attendance, leave records, overtime, incentives, reimbursements, deductions, and statutory components. The candidate will ensure payroll accuracy through reconciliation, audits, and validation checks before payroll closure. The role also includes processing monthly salary payouts within defined timelines while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity. Payroll-related queries and discrepancies must be addressed in a timely and professional manner.
The candidate will manage payroll operations for a large blue-collar and frontline workforce across multiple locations. Responsibilities include monitoring, validating, and reconciling attendance records, shift schedules, overtime, weekly offs, and leave data received from various stakeholders. The candidate will coordinate with Operations, Site Supervisors, HR teams, and branch stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payroll inputs. The role will also involve processing attendance-based earnings, overtime payments, incentives, shift allowances, and other variable pay components. Employee concerns related to attendance, salary calculations, overtime payments, and payroll deductions will need to be resolved effectively.
The candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable payroll-related labour laws and statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, Bonus, Gratuity, and Income Tax. The role includes coordination with payroll vendors and internal teams to ensure timely statutory filings, remittances, and documentation. Payroll records and supporting documents must be maintained for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
The candidate will manage and analyze large volumes of employee and payroll data with a high level of accuracy. Responsibilities include generating payroll MIS reports, dashboards, reconciliations, and workforce analytics for business leaders. The role will require identifying trends, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities through data-driven analysis. The candidate will also support budgeting, workforce cost analysis, and payroll reporting requirements.
The Compensation & Benefits Specialist will collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure payroll readiness and data accuracy. The candidate will act as the primary point of contact for payroll vendors and ensure adherence to agreed service levels. The role will require effective coordination and communication with multiple stakeholders to drive closure of payroll-related issues.
The candidate will continuously identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Responsibilities include supporting payroll audits, system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process standardization projects. The candidate will develop and maintain payroll SOPs, controls, and best practices.
Candidates should have a Bachelorβs degree in Commerce, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. The role requires 3β6 years of experience in payroll operations, preferably in organizations managing a distributed workforce. Hands-on experience in payroll processing, attendance management, and statutory compliance is required. Experience working with payroll vendors and managing payroll-related stakeholder interactions is also required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting is expected.
Experience handling payroll for blue-collar, frontline, manufacturing, industrial, logistics, facility management, or service workforce employees will be preferred. Exposure to multi-location payroll environments and familiarity with HRMS, attendance management systems, and payroll software will be an added advantage.
The candidate should have strong functional competencies in Payroll Processing & Administration, Attendance & Time Management, Labour Law & Statutory Compliance, Payroll Audits & Controls, Vendor Management, HRMS & Payroll Systems, Advanced Excel & Data Analytics, and MIS Reporting & Workforce Analytics.
The role also requires strong ownership and accountability, an analytical and data-driven mindset, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, attention to detail, stakeholder management skills, effective communication, the ability to manage complexity and multiple priorities, and a continuous improvement orientation.
Success in this role will be reflected through accurate and timely payroll processing with minimal errors, effective management of attendance and payroll inputs across locations, high compliance standards with zero major statutory deviations, timely resolution of employee payroll queries and issues, strong collaboration with stakeholders and payroll vendors, and meaningful payroll insights and continuous process improvements driven through analytics.

The position reports to the Head of HR, India. There are no direct reports. The function is Human Resources and the region is India. There is 01 open position. The work locations are Chakan, Pune, Faridabad, and Kothur, Hyderabad. The position is based on-site.
