The Deputy General Manager Human Resources will lead the HR function for the Pune plant and drive end-to-end HR strategy, talent management, industrial relations and employee engagement initiatives. The role partners closely with plant leadership to align people strategies with business objectives while ensuring workforce productivity, operational excellence and a positive employee experience.
Key responsibilities include leading HR operations, policies and programs for the manufacturing plant, driving workforce planning, talent interventions and cost optimization initiatives. The role requires building succession pipelines, implementing talent development programs and executing long-term labour strategies including wage negotiations and settlements.
The candidate will ensure complete compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements while liaising with government authorities. Responsibilities include leading talent acquisition strategies to ensure critical skill availability, driving performance management and reward programs aligned with global frameworks and overseeing plant administration including transport, facilities, security and vendor management.
Additional responsibilities include promoting employee engagement, maintaining a non-disruptive manufacturing environment and ensuring high standards of health, safety and sustainability with a focus on zero incidents and strong EHS performance. The role requires deep expertise in industrial relations, labour strategy, workforce management, compliance, statutory audits, talent management and succession planning.
The ideal candidate should possess strong business acumen, leadership capability, stakeholder management skills and a data-driven decision-making approach. Experience managing complex HR environments, driving organizational change and supporting manufacturing operations is essential.
