WRI is seeking an experienced and people-focused Senior Workday Specialist, Recruiting & Talent to serve as the global functional owner of Workday Recruiting and Talent modules across country offices in Africa, Brazil, China, Colombia, Europe, India, Indonesia, Mexico, and the United States. Reporting to the Global Director, Compensation, Benefits, and Analytics, this role will partner closely with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HR Business Partners, Global IT, and HR teams worldwide to optimize and continuously improve Workday Recruiting and Talent processes.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on functional ownership role responsible for designing, configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting Workday Recruiting and Talent modules globally. The role serves as the primary subject matter expert for all Workday Recruiting and Talent-related questions and initiatives.
Workday Functional Owner – Recruiting & Talent
Manage the Workday Recruiting module including job requisitions, evergreen requisitions, job postings, career sites, candidate workflows, prospect workflows, referral programs, offer workflows, employment agreements, questionnaires, and interview processes.
Manage the Workday Talent Optimization module including goals, performance management, reporting, succession planning, and talent review initiatives as part of the systems roadmap.
Maintain business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, dashboards, and security models while balancing global standards and local requirements.
Drive continuous improvement through system optimization, automation, and process simplification initiatives.
Lead bi-annual Workday release management activities including feature evaluation, adoption planning, regression testing, and communication.
Maintain training documentation, business process workbooks, system configurations, and governance standards.
Partnership & Process Design
Partner with Talent Acquisition teams, Talent Management teams, and regional HR Business Partners to gather business requirements.
Configure scalable Workday solutions that accommodate local business needs while maintaining global consistency.
Support integrations between Workday and recruiting platforms including job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, referral tools, background verification platforms, and assessment systems.
Translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions.
Collaborate with Global IT and HR teams on system enhancements and implementations.
User Support & Capacity Building
Provide expert support to HR teams and users across global offices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Workday Recruiting and Talent issues.
Partner with Workday support teams, Global IT, and external vendors to resolve system challenges.
Create training materials, user guides, job aids, and process documentation.
Conduct training sessions and enablement programs for HR teams and hiring managers.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Workday Pro Certification in Recruiting and/or Talent preferred.
Experience
Minimum 6 years of hands-on Workday HCM configuration experience.
At least 3 years focused primarily on Workday Recruiting and Talent modules.
Strong expertise in configuring job posting templates, career sites, application business processes, candidate workflows, referral workflows, offer letters, and employment agreements.
Strong knowledge of Workday calculated fields related to Recruiting and Talent.
Experience supporting HR teams across multiple countries and time zones.
Experience with Workday transformation, optimization, implementation, or release projects.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
Exposure to Workday Core HCM, Learning, and Advanced Compensation modules.
Experience with EIB and basic integration troubleshooting.
Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS-related technologies.
Experience supporting global HR teams and multi-country populations.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid role requiring a minimum of 8 office days per month.
During probation, a minimum of 4 office days per week is required.
Significant overlap with European working hours is expected.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range INR 18,00,000 – INR 24,00,000 CTC per annum.
