Yotta Data Services is India's leading sovereign AI infrastructure, cloud platform and data centre services company enabling enterprises, governments, startups and digital platforms to build, deploy and scale next generation AI and digital workloads securely within India. The company operates in the Data Center, Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence industry with approximately 1,000 to 5,000 employees. Yotta operates hyperscale data centre campuses in Navi Mumbai and Greater Noida and delivers AI infrastructure, cloud, hosting, cybersecurity and managed platform services to support India's digital transformation.
The Chief People Officer is one of the most strategic leadership positions within Yotta and serves as a member of the executive leadership team. The role is responsible for designing and leading the organization's People and Culture strategy while preparing the company for hypergrowth and IPO readiness. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across the entire human resources function while ensuring strong governance, operational excellence and an exceptional employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and own the enterprise wide People and Culture strategy aligned with the company's three to five year business objectives, growth plans and IPO roadmap.
Act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Leadership Team on all people, leadership and organizational effectiveness matters.
Embed the company's core values of Customer Centricity, Agility, Integrity, Innovation, Happiness for All, Trust and Transparency throughout the employee lifecycle.
Lead large scale organizational transformation and culture change initiatives to build a future ready workforce.
Create and implement employee wellbeing initiatives that foster a psychologically safe and inclusive workplace.
Establish structured employee listening channels including pulse surveys, skip level meetings, town halls and feedback forums to understand workforce needs and improve engagement.
Promote a culture of recognition by celebrating employee achievements, milestones and value driven behaviours.
Oversee the complete Human Resources function including Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Payroll Governance and Human Resources Compliance.
Develop an Human Resources operating model capable of supporting organizational growth from approximately 1,500 employees to more than 3,000 employees.
Design, implement and govern enterprise wide Human Resources policies and processes while ensuring compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations and corporate governance requirements.
Design and continuously optimize organizational structures to support expanding business units, geographies and strategic capabilities.
Lead workforce planning, talent forecasting, succession planning and leadership pipeline development.
Drive integrated talent management including performance management, promotions, career architecture, internal mobility and leadership development.
Build a culture of continuous learning through structured development programs, mentoring, coaching and learning platforms.
Ensure effective goal alignment through a robust objectives and key results framework.
Lead Human Resources activities related to IPO readiness by working closely with legal advisors, auditors and finance leadership to ensure complete audit readiness and compliance.
Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws, statutory regulations and SEBI requirements related to Human Resources, employee benefits and key managerial personnel.
Design, implement and administer the Employee Stock Option Plan framework including grant management, vesting schedules, employee communication, valuation support and regulatory compliance.
Develop a roadmap for post IPO Human Resources operations including enhanced reporting, investor focused people metrics and ongoing governance.
Build a high performance and inclusive workplace that attracts, develops and retains exceptional talent.
Strengthen the Employer Value Proposition in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Marketing teams.
Champion Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives across all Human Resources practices.
Design and govern competitive compensation, rewards, incentive plans and employee benefits aligned with business objectives and market benchmarks.
Lead Human Resources analytics by developing dashboards, scorecards and predictive workforce insights to support business decisions.
Drive Human Resources digital transformation including Human Resources Information System modernization and workflow automation.
Lead and mentor the People and Culture leadership team while partnering with business leaders to deliver integrated people solutions.
Support risk management, business continuity planning, data confidentiality, personal information management and enterprise governance initiatives.
Qualifications
Master of Business Administration or postgraduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Management or a related field from a premier institution.
Eighteen to twenty two years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience with at least five years in a Chief Human Resources Officer, Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer or equivalent senior leadership position.
Experience in high growth technology, cloud, data centre or infrastructure organizations is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading or contributing significantly to an Initial Public Offering from the Human Resources function is highly desirable.
Professional certifications in Human Resources Leadership, Organizational Development, Executive Coaching or Compensation and Benefits such as SHRM SCP, GPHR, CCP or ICF are preferred.
