Ameriprise India LLP is hiring a Sr Employee Relations Specialist for its Human Capital team in Noida. The Sr Employee Relations Specialist will provide employee relations support across Ameriprise India by managing HR Service Center queries and providing guidance on workplace concerns while ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The role involves consulting employees, managers and HR Business Partners on employee relations matters including attendance issues, behavioral concerns, performance-related matters and policy violations.
The selected candidate will manage employee relations cases from intake to closure including fact-finding, documentation, risk assessment and resolution. The role requires handling sensitive employee matters, maintaining confidentiality and following consistent case management and escalation procedures. The candidate will also partner with the India Employee Relations Centre of Excellence on complex cases involving harassment, discrimination and other workplace concerns.
Key responsibilities include providing employee and manager advisory support on workplace issues, advising leaders on termination processes, notice period queries, final settlements, rehire eligibility, disciplinary actions, performance improvement processes and documentation standards.
The role also includes providing Employee Relations support for leave of absence, alternate work arrangements, medical accommodations and absence management scenarios. The candidate will guide employees and managers on policy application, eligibility criteria and processes while partnering with HR Operations teams to ensure smooth execution and compliance.
The Sr Employee Relations Specialist will maintain accurate employee relations case documentation, track case metrics, analyze trends and identify root causes and recurring issues. The role will provide insights to Employee Relations COE and HR Business Partners to support proactive risk management and continuous process improvement.
Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of relevant Employee Relations experience with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of employment and labour laws, POSH compliance, employee relations processes and HR policies. Strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, stakeholder management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are required.
Ameriprise follows a hybrid work model with employees working from office at least three days per week and flexibility to work from home two days per week. The working shift for this role is 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
