The HRBP Business Operations - India role is for a seasoned HR Business Partner who will support non-technology business functions such as operations, sourcing, merchandising, manufacturing, quality, and corporate teams. The HR Business Partner will act as a strategic partner to business leaders and drive the people agenda, organisational effectiveness, and talent outcomes aligned with business goals.
Strategic HR Partnership
Act as a trusted advisor to non-tech managers, leads, and employees on HR matters including talent management, performance, employee relations, and organisational development.
Partner with teams to translate business and team needs into people solutions that drive productivity, engagement, and innovation.
Support the development and execution of HR strategies including identification of top performers, development plans for low performers, and monitoring the pulse of teams and individuals.
Partner with business leaders to understand workforce priorities and align HR interventions with business objectives.
Employee Engagement and Culture
Champion the development of a strong, innovative, and inclusive culture within the non-tech organisation.
Lead employee engagement initiatives including team pulse surveys, feedback sessions, and action plans to improve engagement, morale, and retention.
Identify employee experience opportunities and work with leaders to implement appropriate interventions.
Talent Development & Retention
Support career development and growth opportunities for non-tech talent through training, leadership development, and mentorship programs.
Collaborate with non-tech leaders on workforce planning, role design, and promotions to ensure high-performing teams are built and sustained.
Drive initiatives to reduce turnover, enhance employee satisfaction, and improve retention rates within non-tech teams.
Performance Management & Coaching
Partner with managers to implement performance management processes including 30-60-90-day plans, monthly 1:1 pulse discussions, and annual review cycles.
Coach managers on team dynamics, conflict resolution, and effective communication within non-tech teams.
Identify and address underperformance at an early stage and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
Support managers in building performance-focused and accountable teams.
Data-Driven HR Decisions
Analyse key people metrics including turnover, headcount, engagement, and other workforce indicators to make data-driven recommendations and improvements.
Work with the HR analytics team to develop dashboards for tracking the success of people initiatives within non-tech departments.
Implement best practices across recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts specific to the non-tech organisation.
Use workforce data and people insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Employee Relations & Compliance
Handle employee relations matters, investigations, and escalations while ensuring compliance with local employment laws and company policies.
Act as a liaison between employees and leadership to address concerns and proactively resolve conflicts.
Support a fair, consistent, and compliant approach to employee relations and HR decision-making.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in an HRBP role supporting non-tech or business teams.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Solid understanding of HR practices across talent management, employee engagement, and HR operations.
Experience working in industries such as retail, manufacturing, sourcing, or consumer businesses is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or PGDM in Human Resources or a related field.
Experience working in fast-paced and high-growth environments.
Exposure to multi-location or field workforce is an advantage.
