The Assistant Manager - Talent Acquisition will ensure General Mills is positioned to attract, source, and recruit top talent both internally and externally. The role will partner in developing and executing best-in-class recruitment strategies and play a critical role in attracting and hiring high-quality talent to support organizational growth and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from talent attraction through onboarding for both internal and external hiring.
Partner with business leaders and hiring managers to understand short-term and long-term workforce requirements and develop hiring plans accordingly.
Design and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract top-tier talent across multiple functions and levels.
Manage end-to-end hiring including volume hiring, niche hiring, diversity and inclusion hiring, market intelligence gathering, talent insights, and strategic workforce planning based on business needs.
Ensure effective utilization of recruitment systems and tools such as ATS and CRM platforms.
Promote and strengthen the employer brand through job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and talent communities.
Deliver exceptional candidate experience by maintaining clear communication and managing candidate expectations throughout the recruitment process.
Build and maintain robust talent pipelines through LinkedIn, job boards, networking, talent communities, referrals, and proactive sourcing strategies.
Drive recruitment process improvements and implement innovative ideas that create measurable business impact.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, recruitment governance standards, and hiring best practices.
Mentor sourcing teams and support knowledge sharing across the Talent Acquisition function.
Track, analyze, and report recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, source of hire, quality of hire, and recruitment effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
Master's Degree with specialization in Human Resources preferred.
8-10 years of experience with at least 5+ years of progressive recruitment or talent acquisition experience across agency and in-house environments.
Proven success hiring for diverse roles including niche and senior-level positions.
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems such as iCIMS and sourcing tools including LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, and advanced internet sourcing techniques.
Strong understanding of recruitment metrics, talent intelligence, labor market trends, and workforce planning.
Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, negotiation, and business partnering skills.
Ability to manage multiple requisitions and deliver results under tight timelines.
Strong analytical, data-driven decision-making, prioritization, organization, and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience recruiting within specific industries such as technology, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, or consumer goods.
Experience in both technology and non-technology hiring.
Professional HR or recruitment certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or CIR.
Exposure to diversity hiring practices and global recruitment environments.
