As Plant HR Executive, you will be the single point of contact for all people operations at the manufacturing facility. You will own the complete employee lifecycle for production and factory staff, ensure labour law compliance, and build HR processes from the ground up while working closely with the founders.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Drive end-to-end hiring for factory roles including tailors, cutters, finishing staff, quality control executives, supervisors, helpers, and other production workforce requirements.
Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for critical factory positions.
Design and manage induction programs to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of production staff.
Coordinate closely with production teams to support workforce planning requirements.
Payroll, Attendance & Leave Management
Oversee daily attendance management, shift scheduling, and leave administration for factory floor employees.
Coordinate with finance teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
Maintain HRMS records and generate MIS reports as required by management.
Labour Law & Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws including the Factories Act, ESI, PF, Professional Tax, Contract Labour Regulation and Abolition Act, and Shops & Establishment Act.
Manage statutory compliances, registers, records, and documentation required under Karnataka labour regulations.
Liaise with labour inspectors, government authorities, and regulatory bodies whenever required.
Manage contract labour documentation, vendor coordination, and compliance audits.
Employee Relations & Welfare
Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues.
Drive employee engagement initiatives focused on retention, motivation, and workplace culture.
Ensure safety compliance and employee welfare measures in line with factory regulations.
Conduct exit interviews, manage Full and Final settlements, and track attrition trends.
HR Operations & Process Building
Build and document HR SOPs, policies, and operational processes for a fast-scaling manufacturing setup.
Coordinate manpower planning with production teams based on order volumes and production schedules.
Drive training and development initiatives including skill enhancement, safety awareness, and compliance training programs.
Required Qualifications:
4–6 years of hands-on HR experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
Strong knowledge of the Factories Act, ESI, PF, Contract Labour Act, and Karnataka labour regulations.
Experience managing blue-collar workforce recruitment, payroll, attendance, and compliance.
Proficiency in attendance management systems and MS Excel or Google Sheets.
Ability to communicate effectively in Kannada and Hindi with factory floor employees and English for management reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in garment, apparel, or textile manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with HRMS tools and HR technology platforms.
Experience establishing HR processes from scratch in a startup or greenfield manufacturing facility.
