The Head - Compensation & Benefits will lead the design, implementation, governance, and administration of compensation and benefits programs across domestic and international markets. The role is responsible for developing competitive, compliant, and performance-driven reward frameworks that support business growth, talent attraction, employee retention, and engagement. Responsibilities include designing and managing compensation structures, salary bands, grading frameworks, and reward policies, leading annual compensation reviews, merit increase cycles, promotions, bonus planning, conducting market benchmarking and compensation surveys, driving pay equity, internal parity, and governance across the organization. The role also involves developing and administering compensation structures for international locations, managing expatriate compensation, international assignments, localization, mobility policies, evaluating tax implications, social security requirements, cost of living adjustments, and partnering with global HR teams to ensure compliance with local labor and compensation regulations. The selected candidate will design and optimize employee benefits programs including insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and flexible benefits, manage relationships with external benefit providers and consultants, drive benefits harmonization while maintaining local relevance, design short-term and long-term incentive programs, manage sales incentive plans, executive compensation, retention bonuses, and recognition programs, and evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of reward programs. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with statutory, tax, labor law, and regulatory requirements, establishing governance frameworks, supporting payroll and reward audits, developing compensation dashboards, HR analytics, budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and advising leadership on executive hiring, compensation decisions, and retention strategies. Candidates should have expertise in compensation benchmarking, global mobility, expatriate management, job evaluation, grading, variable pay design, benefits administration, HR analytics, budgeting, forecasting, HRIS, advanced Excel, compliance, governance, and stakeholder management. An MBA or PGDM in Human Resources, Finance, or a related discipline is required. Certification in Compensation and Benefits, Global Mobility, or Total Rewards is preferred. Candidates should have 15+ years of experience in Compensation and Benefits or Total Rewards with strong exposure to domestic and international compensation practices and multinational organizations.
