The Senior Analyst - APAC Payroll will support end-to-end India payroll operations while working closely with APAC payroll teams, HR, Finance, Payroll Advisory, and external payroll providers. The role focuses on delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services while driving governance, process improvements, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute end-to-end India payroll operations including payroll processing, payroll execution, payroll runs, and post-payroll activities.
Manage payroll inputs, validations, reconciliations, and payroll controls to ensure payroll accuracy.
Ensure compliance with Indian payroll legislation, labour laws, statutory deductions, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
Support payroll audits, governance reviews, compliance activities, and internal payroll controls.
Investigate and resolve payroll queries, discrepancies, and complex payroll issues within agreed service levels.
Support employee lifecycle payroll activities including onboarding, transfers, leave processing, and Full and Final settlements.
Maintain payroll processes and controls to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Partner with Payroll Advisory, Human Resources, Finance teams, and external payroll service providers to ensure seamless payroll delivery.
Support payroll system enhancements, user acceptance testing, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive payroll standardization, operational efficiency, governance, and service excellence across payroll operations.
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of total experience with at least 6 years of relevant India payroll experience.
Strong experience in end-to-end payroll processing, payroll execution, and post-payroll activities.
Experience managing payroll for employee populations of approximately 1,000 or more employees.
Strong knowledge of Indian payroll legislation, labour law compliance, statutory deductions, payroll taxation, and payroll governance.
Experience supporting payroll audits, compliance reviews, and payroll controls.
Hands-on experience with SAP ECC Payroll is highly preferred.
Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven payroll environment.
