Job Description
Toronto French Academy is hiring a full-time remote HR Manager to serve as the primary People Operations partner for the organization. The selected candidate will manage the complete employee and contractor lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance tracking and offboarding while supporting hiring across academic and operational functions. Responsibilities include sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, referrals, job boards and professional networks, conducting screening interviews, coordinating interviews, demo sessions, evaluations, feedback and offer discussions, preparing employment documentation, contractor agreements, NDAs and onboarding forms, maintaining employee records, attendance, leave trackers and HR databases, supporting payroll preparation, managing onboarding and offboarding processes, responding to employee queries, assisting with performance reviews and probation evaluations, developing HR policies, SOPs and workflows, maintaining recruitment dashboards and HR reports, ensuring compliance and confidentiality and partnering with leadership on workforce planning, organizational growth and employee engagement initiatives. Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Generalist, Talent Acquisition or People Operations with strong knowledge of employee lifecycle management, end-to-end recruitment, HRMS, ATS platforms, Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel and excellent English communication skills. Experience in EdTech, online education, training organizations, BPOs or service-based businesses and familiarity with Workable, Greenhouse, Lever, Zoho Recruit, Notion, Airtable or ClickUp will be an advantage.
