Job Description
BDO India is hiring an Assistant Payroll Manager for its Pune office. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations for multiple clients while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Responsibilities include collecting payroll data, processing salary calculations, handling bonuses, commissions, tax withholdings, salary revisions, deductions, variable payouts and employee benefits. The role requires ensuring compliance with payroll laws and statutory regulations, managing Provident Fund, Employee State Insurance, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, Income Tax and other statutory remittances and filings. Additional responsibilities include eTDS filing, Form 16 generation, TRACES management, payroll audits, reconciliations, process improvements, payroll reporting, maintaining payroll records, handling employee payroll queries within defined timelines, supporting statutory and internal audits, conducting system and process health checks, maintaining maker-checker processes, updating payroll practices based on regulatory changes and managing client relationships while ensuring complete confidentiality of payroll information.
