Job Description
B.N. Nagaraja Family Law is looking for a highly resourceful and experienced Senior Talent Acquisition & HR Manager to lead recruitment for experienced advocates, managers, and other critical positions. The immediate priority is identifying and hiring experienced family-law advocates who can independently manage complex legal matters, mentor junior advocates, and contribute to the firm's growth.
This is a senior hands-on recruitment role focused on proactively sourcing, engaging, assessing, and closing experienced professionals rather than only posting job openings and coordinating interviews. The role also supports recruitment and senior Human Resources requirements across B.N. Nagaraja Family Law, Roots & Us, and Kanasu.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end recruitment for experienced advocates, managers, and other priority positions.
Develop proactive sourcing strategies beyond traditional job portals.
Identify candidates through legal networks, professional referrals, bar associations, court networks, direct outreach, recruitment platforms, and agencies.
Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for critical hiring requirements.
Screen candidates based on experience, professional capability, cultural fit, compensation expectations, and long-term suitability.
Coordinate interviews, assessments, reference checks, offer management, negotiations, and onboarding.
Prepare recruitment reports covering candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and successful hires.
Manage probation reviews, employee performance processes, and professional development discussions.
Develop, communicate, and implement Human Resources policies related to attendance, leave, confidentiality, workplace conduct, performance, and organizational standards.
Guide junior Human Resources and administrative team members handling onboarding, attendance, payroll inputs, and employee documentation.
Partner with founders and senior managers on workforce planning, disciplinary matters, performance concerns, and senior hiring decisions.
First 90-Day Priorities
Understand and document the ideal profile for experienced family-law advocates.
Develop effective sourcing and candidate outreach strategies.
Build a strong pipeline of experienced legal professionals and leadership candidates.
Conduct direct outreach and referral-based recruitment for passive candidates.
Present qualified candidates with detailed evaluation reports.
Drive candidates through interviews, references, negotiations, and offer stages.
Successfully close at least one key legal or leadership hire or establish a strong pipeline progressing toward closure.
Implement structured recruitment tracking and weekly reporting processes.
Performance Evaluation
Performance will be measured based on quality of candidates sourced, ability to engage passive candidates, hiring effectiveness, interview-to-offer and offer-to-joining conversion rates, retention of selected candidates, quality of recruitment reports, probation management, policy implementation, confidentiality, ownership, and overall execution. Performance-based incentives may be provided for successful priority hires completing the required retention period.
Candidate Requirements
Strong experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or Human Resources.
Demonstrated success hiring experienced, specialized, or leadership-level professionals.
Ability to source candidates beyond traditional job portals.
Strong interviewing, assessment, negotiation, and candidate closing skills.
Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities.
Strong documentation, reporting, and follow-up skills.
Experience developing or administering Human Resources policies and performance management processes.
Ability to manage confidential employee and compensation information.
Strong communication skills in English and Kannada.
Confidence working directly with founders and senior leadership.
Proficiency in recruitment platforms, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
Experience recruiting lawyers, professional services employees, healthcare professionals, consultants, or other specialized talent will be preferred.
