The Recruitment Manager is responsible for delivering efficient and effective recruitment services while ensuring hiring requirements are fulfilled in a timely and professional manner. A key objective of the role is attracting high-quality candidates to join V.Group’s seafaring talent pools, particularly Senior Officers, while supporting and guiding the regional recruitment team in achieving recruitment goals.
Key responsibilities include supporting the Senior Recruitment Manager and Global Recruitment Manager in implementing the Global Recruitment Strategy for crew sourcing, including digital sourcing initiatives, recruitment policies, processes, and recruitment technologies. The role involves leading recruitment advertising campaigns, planning and implementing short-term, medium-term, and long-term recruitment strategies, and collaborating with Global Recruitment Managers across Offshore and Leisure business sectors.
The selected candidate will perform active and passive sourcing through internal databases, social media platforms, recruitment tools, approved channels, and job boards. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with Senior Officers and niche maritime professionals, expanding talent pools, facilitating local and international recruitment events, crew events, and educational institution outreach programs.
The role requires maintaining accurate recruitment records and candidate information, discussing offers with shortlisted candidates, supporting recruitment negotiations, supervising recruitment team members in candidate screening, testing, interviewing, document verification, background checks, and profile management. The candidate will ensure timely and compliant submission of seafarer profiles to planners, crew management teams, and clients while monitoring hiring progress until joining formalities are completed.
Additional responsibilities include arranging team meetings, supporting recruitment team onboarding, deputizing for senior recruitment leaders when required, collaborating with global recruitment teams, planners, crew managers, assessors, and third-party agencies, monitoring recruitment KPIs, supporting workload distribution, reporting activities, and gathering market intelligence related to local and international seagoing manpower markets.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of maritime recruitment, seafarer employment regulations, STCW requirements, MLC 2006 standards, flag state certification requirements, international shipping regulations, maritime labor practices, visa requirements, maritime geography, and crew travel processes. Strong management, influencing, communication, planning, reporting, and stakeholder management skills are essential. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced multinational environment.
