Job Description
The Vice President - Human Resources will be responsible for leading the overall human resource strategy and initiatives of the organization. The incumbent will play a critical leadership role in attracting, retaining and developing top talent to support organizational objectives. The role includes overseeing recruitment and onboarding processes, implementing performance management systems, fostering a positive work culture, developing HR policies and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include driving the company's human capital management agenda and formulating and implementing HR policies, practices and programs. The role will direct organizational talent management and workforce planning processes including evaluation of organizational structures, job design, job profiles, roles and responsibilities, manpower forecasting and succession planning.
The selected candidate will determine and recommend employee practices that promote high levels of employee effectiveness, morale and engagement. Responsibilities also include designing organizational development frameworks, building business-related capabilities and championing a culture of excellence across the organization.
The role requires recommending compensation structures, pay policies, pay equity frameworks aligned with market benchmarks and trends, employee benefits programs and pay-for-performance systems. The Vice President will institutionalize robust and objective performance management processes including performance contracts, goal setting and cascading, development planning and alignment with business objectives.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all statutory, regulatory and corporate governance requirements, conducting HR audits to identify gaps and future needs, establishing and maintaining management information systems and HR analytics for business decision-making, managing internal HR systems and undertaking additional responsibilities assigned by management such as CSR and support services.
The ideal candidate should possess a Master's Degree or MBA in Human Resources and have 15-20 years of professional experience in the Human Resources domain within the services sector, preferably financial services. Strong expertise in HR policies, performance management systems, HR analytics, talent management, payroll, attendance and leave management, organizational development, organizational effectiveness and total rewards is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate strong business orientation, excellent communication skills, interpersonal and influencing abilities, cross-functional collaboration capabilities, strategic thinking, leadership qualities, ERP and HR technology expertise, analytical skills, ethical decision-making capabilities and the ability to work effectively with senior leadership teams.
