Job Description

Synechron is hiring a Payroll Manager - Human Resource for its Pune or Bangalore office. The role is responsible for leading HR payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll processing while managing a high-performing payroll team. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end multi-country payroll operations, collaborate with Finance, HR, payroll vendors, and other stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across payroll processes.

The Payroll Manager will lead, mentor, and develop the payroll operations team, assign tasks, monitor workloads, and conduct performance reviews. Responsibilities include acting as the final reviewer of payroll inputs before submission to the Finance team, overseeing timely and accurate payroll processing across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with internal processes and audit requirements, collaborating with local payroll vendors and Finance teams, performing regular reconciliation of Workday and payroll records, developing and implementing payroll policies and procedures, driving automation and process improvements, maintaining accurate payroll data including salaries, benefits, bonuses, and deductions, generating payroll reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities, maintaining confidentiality and data security, partnering with Location HR and Finance teams, acting as the escalation point for payroll-related employee concerns, leading payroll vendor integration with HRMS, conducting payroll reconciliations and audits, and representing the payroll team during internal and external audits.

Candidates should possess an MBA in Human Resources or Finance. An additional payroll certification is preferred. Applicants should have 12+ years of payroll management experience, preferably managing multi-country payroll operations, along with a strong understanding of international payroll laws, taxation, and social security regulations. Experience with payroll software, HRIS systems, Workday, leadership, stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, confidentiality, and HR compliance is essential. Experience working with global organizations or remote teams and knowledge of HR compliance across different regions will be an added advantage.
