Honeywell Technologies is hiring a Lead Payroll Administrator for its India operations. This remote position supports payroll administration across the APAC region and is responsible for delivering accurate, compliant and timely payroll services while ensuring a high level of employee support. The Lead Payroll Administrator will manage employee time and attendance records, payroll data administration and payroll processing activities across the APAC region. The selected candidate will handle large volumes of confidential employee information while ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance with payroll calendars, statutory requirements and company policies.
Key responsibilities include validating and processing payroll inputs such as attendance, working hours, deductions, benefit deductions, incentives and leave information received from managers and Human Resources teams. The role also involves maintaining accurate time and attendance records, preparing payroll input files, updating payroll systems, processing leave balances and ensuring timely payroll data administration.
The candidate will provide Tier 1 payroll support by handling employee queries through email, telephone and in-person interactions, managing ticketing systems, resolving payroll-related issues and escalating complex cases when required. Additional responsibilities include partnering with third-party payroll providers, supporting payroll distribution and banking processes, conducting payroll reconciliations, supporting payroll accounting, tax processes, audits and year-end payroll activities while collaborating with vendors and internal departments.
The role requires maintaining payroll controls, ensuring payroll data accuracy through audits and control reports, supporting process improvement initiatives and contributing to high payroll quality and employee satisfaction. Strong communication with employees, vendors, application owners and internal stakeholders is essential to ensure efficient payroll operations.
Candidates should possess a graduate degree in any discipline with strong analytical abilities, basic Microsoft Excel skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience of 1-2 years in payroll processing is preferred along with exposure to payroll systems such as ADP, EY, PeopleSoft or SAP and time management systems such as UKG or SAP. Knowledge of accounting or finance, experience in back-office or call center environments, attention to detail, flexibility to work in shifts and the ability to manage high-volume payroll operations will be an added advantage.
