The HR Officer will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations, compliance, and employee lifecycle processes for Heifer India. The role ensures consistent implementation of HR policies while supporting recruitment, payroll and benefits administration, employee engagement, performance management, and HR reporting activities.
Key responsibilities include managing complete employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, confirmation, employee transfers, promotions, and separations. The candidate will ensure proper implementation of HR policies and procedures, maintain compliant employee records, and support statutory compliance requirements, audits, internal controls, and coordination with external vendors and consultants.
The role involves managing end-to-end recruitment activities including sourcing, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer management, tracking recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, hiring costs, and candidate pipeline development. The HR Officer will also support talent pool creation for future hiring requirements.
The selected candidate will act as a focal point for HRIS data management, coordinate monthly payroll inputs, administer employee benefits programs including insurance, wellness initiatives, and leave management. The role also includes generating HR dashboards and reports related to headcount, attrition, recruitment, and workforce demographics.
The HR Officer will serve as a point of contact for employee queries, support employee engagement and wellness initiatives, coordinate performance management processes, organize training programs, and monitor learning participation.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Postgraduate qualification or HR certification is preferred. The ideal candidate should have 4 to 6 years of progressive HR experience across HR operations, employee lifecycle management, recruitment, compliance, and employee relations.
Experience in the NGO sector or knowledge of international development organizations will be an advantage. Candidates should have knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, regulatory requirements, Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, HRIS or payroll systems, and basic understanding of local GAAP and fiscal statutes.
