Job Description
Plan India is hiring a Manager – HR Operations for its New Delhi office. Plan India is a registered not-for-profit organization committed to advancing child rights, gender equality, and community development across India. The organization works to improve the lives of children, young people, girls, and women through sustainable development initiatives. This is a three-year position responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, safeguarding standards, and statutory regulations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for executing day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, payroll administration, statutory compliance, HRIS management, employee engagement, insurance administration, vendor payment processing, workforce administration, and exit management. The role acts as the primary operational link between employees, payroll teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth HR processes.
Responsibilities include coordinating employee joining formalities, document collection, policy acknowledgements, employee ID creation, induction and orientation programs, processing employee lifecycle changes such as transfers, promotions and increments, coordinating payroll and finance activities, managing EPF, ESI and statutory compliance, maintaining accurate HRIS records, attendance and leave data, supporting performance management documentation, organizing employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs and wellness activities, handling employee insurance administration, responding to employee queries, managing probation reviews, contract extensions, role revisions, recruitment coordination, interview scheduling, offer letters, onboarding, employee records, service letters, exit formalities, full and final settlements, clearance processes, exit interviews, statutory filings, HR vendor invoice processing, payment coordination, maintaining vendor records, implementing HR policies, ensuring operational compliance, identifying process improvements, and supporting HR audits.
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. Candidates should have 8–10 years of hands-on experience in HR Operations, payroll administration, HRIS, statutory compliance, onboarding, exit management, vendor payment processing, HR data management, and strong organizational, interpersonal, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately.
