Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
The Senior Manager - Human Resources (C&B) will lead and administer the complete spectrum of total rewards, benefits management, payroll governance, and statutory regulatory compliance across India operations. Operating on site within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, this leadership role directly supports manufacturing facilities, sales divisions, and corporate functions to drive compensation competitiveness, internal parity, and regulatory alignment with the new Labour Codes.
Key Responsibilities and Functional Areas
Direct and champion the complete Total Rewards strategy for India across multiple plants, national sales networks, and corporate teams.
Design competitive salary structures, execute job grading and job evaluation frameworks, conduct market benchmarking studies, and formulate structured compensation matrices.
Manage annual merit increment planning, performance linked incentive frameworks, variable compensation cycles, departmental budgets, salary fitments, and detailed rewards analytics.
Formulate, evaluate, and administer employee welfare programs, health and medical insurance policies, wellness benefits, and corporate recognition initiatives.
Maintain strict governance over compensation policies, lateral offer fitment guidelines, and appraisal outcomes to ensure equity and budget adherence.
Partner closely with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition leaders to guide manpower cost efficiency, strategic headcount planning, and competitive hiring decisions.
Serve as the single point of contact for nationwide statutory HR compliances across corporate offices and plant sites.
Lead the strategic roll out and ongoing execution of the Indian Labour Codes, covering the Code on Wages, Code on Social Security, Occupational Safety Health and Working Conditions Code, and Industrial Relations Code.
Restructure and align compensation models with revised statutory wage definitions, provident fund provisions, ESIC norms, gratuity ceilings, and payment of bonus rules.
Oversee multi location compliance audits, standard operating procedures, HRMS rule configurations, and internal governance frameworks.
Drive change management, company wide communication, and leadership enablement programs on evolving statutory labour regulations.
Direct payroll operations governance, ensuring accurate payroll calculation, proper tax deductions, audit preparedness, monthly MIS reporting, and full and final settlements.
Supervise external vendor relationships covering payroll processors, medical insurance brokers, tax advisors, actuarial evaluators, and HRIS partners.
Handle the complete expatriate lifecycle, encompassing visa documentation, tax equalization workings, corporate relocation, gross up salary calculations, and coordination with global mobility consultants.
