Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a GSS - Tech Sourcing Recruiter to support talent acquisition for Data Center Engineering and Infrastructure Operations roles across North America (USA). This is a remote opportunity based in Karnataka, India, with the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) team, a central sourcing function supporting the Worldwide Amazon Talent Acquisition organization. The team delivers cost-efficient sourcing solutions across the Americas, Europe, AMET, and India for technical, non-technical, and high-volume hiring. Information Technology, Cloud Computing and E-commerce with a global workforce.
The selected candidate will be responsible for sourcing talent for Data Center Operations, Critical Facilities, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, IT Infrastructure, and Cloud Architecture roles including AWS, Azure and GCP. The role requires identifying candidates with academic backgrounds or certifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, HVAC, Electrician Trades, Facilities Maintenance, and other IT-related fields.
Key responsibilities include creating targeted Boolean search strings, sourcing candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, X-Ray Search, Open Web, GitHub, trade forums, and specialized job boards, engaging passive candidates, gathering hiring requirements, screening applicants, presenting role value propositions, developing creative sourcing strategies, conducting recruiter phone screens, building strong talent pipelines, and providing market intelligence for competitive hiring markets.
Candidates should have proven experience sourcing passive talent using advanced sourcing techniques across multiple platforms, conducting candidate outreach, assessing candidate fit, and supporting stakeholders with efficient sourcing solutions.
Applicants should have at least 4 years of progressive recruiting or research experience in a corporate environment or search firm, a Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of full-time Amazon experience, experience using applicant tracking systems and contact management systems, full life cycle recruiting experience, and the ability to provide market intelligence for saturated hiring markets. Preferred qualifications include experience handling both high-volume and niche hiring, and participation in technology hiring events, technology meetups, and technology user groups.
