Meritto is hiring a Director - HR Business Partner for its Gurugram office. This is a full-time on-site opportunity. Meritto is one of India's leading AI Vertical Software as a Service companies serving the education sector. As the organization enters its next phase of expansion, it is looking for a business-first Human Resources leader to help shape its future workforce and organizational strategy.
The Director - HR Business Partner will work closely with the Founder, leadership team, and functional heads to drive talent strategy, organization design, leadership capability, workforce planning, and performance excellence. This is a strategic business partnering role focused on building scalable people systems, strengthening organizational effectiveness, and enabling long-term business growth rather than traditional employee relations or administrative Human Resources responsibilities.
The selected candidate will partner with business leaders on organization design, workforce planning, capability building, leadership succession planning, and development of critical talent pipelines. The role includes designing talent strategies aligned with business priorities, strengthening performance management through clear performance benchmarks, calibration, merit-based decision making, goal setting, performance reviews, talent assessments, succession planning, and creating a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous feedback.
The role also involves driving organization effectiveness by improving role clarity, organizational structures, operating models, team effectiveness, productivity, and workforce optimization through data-driven insights. The candidate will build Human Resources dashboards, people analytics, and business metrics to support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities include partnering with leaders to strengthen managerial capability, identifying high-potential employees, designing structured leadership development programs, and aligning learning initiatives with business objectives.
As a strategic Human Resources partner, the selected candidate will advise business leaders on talent management, organizational challenges, change management, and people strategy. The role requires using workforce analytics and business insights to influence decisions while preserving Meritto's high-performance culture and supporting organizational scaling.
Candidates should possess 10 to 15 years of progressive Human Resources Business Partner or Talent Partner experience with strong expertise in talent strategy, workforce planning, organization design, performance management, leadership development, people analytics, stakeholder management, and organizational effectiveness. Applicants should demonstrate a builder mindset, high ownership, curiosity, execution excellence, and experience partnering with business leaders in fast-growing, high-performance organizations.
