Job Summary:
The Senior HR Manager will function as the Human Resources Business Partner for multiple Research and Development functions including MACR, Global Pharmacovigilance, Analytical Development, Formulation Research and Development, NPQC, and the Data Reliability Office. The role will support an employee base of more than 500 employees across R&D locations in Delhi NCR and manufacturing plants across India while partnering closely with business leadership to drive strategic HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the end-to-end HR Business Partner for various Research and Development functions including Analytical Development, Formulations Development and Packaging, MACR, Pharmacovigilance, NPQC, and ODR India.
Partner closely with business leaders to provide strategic HR support aligned with organizational objectives.
Conduct workforce planning, organizational design, span of control analysis, and layer analysis to improve organizational effectiveness.
Manage manpower planning, recruitment approvals, replacement hiring, and new position requirements in collaboration with hiring managers.
Interview candidates for G11A and above positions to assess competencies, organizational fit, and compensation alignment while ensuring internal parity and market competitiveness.
Coordinate with stakeholders to review critical positions and workforce requirements.
Manage induction programs for campus hires and summer interns, ensuring project charter creation and structured project reviews.
Drive the Performance Management System including goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals, salary review cycles, promotions, and compliance with reward guidelines.
Create and maintain unique role directories, employee mapping, standard goals, and goals library for Research and Development functions.
Conduct employee workshops on Performance Management System changes and implementation of new HR platforms.
Strengthen employee engagement through one-on-one meetings, focus group discussions, skip-level meetings, functional town halls, monthly meetings, and engagement initiatives.
Conduct exit interviews, analyze attrition trends, identify root causes, and share actionable insights with business leaders.
Review employee performance history, promotions, education, experience, and compensation to identify patterns influencing employee turnover.
Conduct Training Needs Identification in consultation with business leaders and Individual Development Plans to create annual learning calendars.
Manage PEDAL knowledge-sharing sessions on common technical topics.
Drive Organizational Health Index survey rollouts, facilitate focus group discussions, develop action plans, and monitor implementation.
Conduct internal employee surveys to gather feedback on HR initiatives and continuously improve employee experience.
Lead talent management initiatives including talent mapping, succession discussions, organization structure evaluation, span and layer analysis, and role-based organization design.
Manage Rewards and Recognition initiatives including Scientist of the Quarter, Ideamaxx Awards, Spot Awards, Appreciation Cards, Thank You Cards, and Well Done Cards.
Organize employee engagement activities including Holi celebrations, Independence Day, Women's Day, Winter Kids Carnival, Master Class knowledge-sharing sessions, lab visits, and other cultural initiatives.
Develop and maintain functional competency frameworks for Research and Development teams including technical competencies.
Provide inputs for annual budgeting related to Recruitment, Learning and Development, and Rewards and Recognition.
Requirements:
MBA or PGDM in Human Resources.
4 to 8 years of relevant HR Business Partner experience.
Strong experience supporting Research and Development or technical business functions.
Expertise in Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, Organization Design, Performance Management, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Learning and Development, Succession Planning, Rewards and Recognition, HR Analytics, and Employee Relations.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, analytical, and leadership skills.
Ability to partner with senior business leaders and drive strategic HR initiatives.
