HSBC Software Development India is seeking an experienced professional to join the team as a Consultant Specialist. This role will lead HR technology delivery with a primary focus on SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management and Reward, Compensation, and connected HR modules. The position will work closely with HR Global Service Owners, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and global teams to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions and deliver enhancements aligned with employee experience and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead HR technology delivery as a Consultant Specialist, focusing on SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management and Reward, along with connected HR modules.
Translate business needs into system requirements, epics, and user stories to support elaboration, definition, and delivery.
Partner with BAs and SAs, HR Global Service Owners, and global teams to define, prioritise, and deliver HR technology enhancements.
Act as a subject matter expert for Performance and Reward, driving innovation, assessing change impacts, and shaping a product backlog aligned with employee experience and business priorities.
Produce and govern solution artefacts across the full Software Development Life Cycle, ensuring quality, appropriate controls, and adherence to IT policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Guide testing streams, functional scenarios, and quality assurance tollgates to ensure robust and controlled releases.
Own technical oversight for the platform, including architecture, risks, vendors, performance, support, upgrades, and maintenance.
Deliver half-yearly SuccessFactors upgrades and annual maintenance activities.
Support Reward cycles including planning, launch, reporting, reconciliation, and payroll transmission.
Support incidents, problems, and new demand related to the HR technology platform.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Deep expertise in SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management and Reward is required, with Employee Central exposure preferred.
Broad knowledge across HR systems including Talent, Time, Benefits, Learning, and Recruitment.
SuccessFactors Performance and Reward certification is desirable. Candidates should have either 8+ years of hands-on configuration experience or experience supporting at least 2–3 complete Performance Management and Reward pay cycles end-to-end on SuccessFactors.
SAP HR/HCM experience within banking or financial services is an advantage.
Proven experience delivering HR technology solutions in complex global organisations, including discovery, scoping, and definition activities with HR and Global Service Owners.
Strong Agile, DevOps, and product or platform management capabilities are required. Pod leadership experience is valuable, while Scrum certifications such as CSM or CSPO are desirable.
Experience with SaaS and vendor management, including releases, roadmaps, upgrades, and cyclical HR process delivery.
A self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and experience with proofs of concept and innovation initiatives is preferred.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to varied audiences.
Desirable technical skills include Jira, Confluence, XML and XML troubleshooting, automation tools such as Codebot or Tosca, AI/ML-enabled analytics and automation, and advanced reporting and reconciliation.
