Job Description
Connections Consultancy has been mandated to hire a strategic Head of HR for a leading, high-growth, multi-location restaurant chain. This executive leadership role is focused on transforming human resources into a structured, process-driven, compliant, and auditable function. The incumbent will build scalable HR frameworks, establish internal controls, and prepare the organizationās workforce architecture for its next phase of expansion and potential IPO readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Governance & IPO Readiness:
Design, formalize, and implement enterprise-wide HR policies, governance models, and internal control frameworks.
Lead HR due diligence, process standardization, risk management, and statutory audits to prepare the organization for public-market (IPO) readiness.
Labor Compliance & Statutory Oversight:
Ensure strict end-to-end compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory regulations across all multi-location restaurant units and regional offices.
Organizational Design & Leadership Development:
Drive headcount planning, organizational structuring, succession planning, and executive hiring to support rapid scaling.
Establish competitive compensation, benefits, and performance management frameworks (PMS).
HR Systems, Analytics & Infrastructure:
Implement and optimize HRMS platforms, HR MIS reporting, and people analytics to enable data-backed decision-making for executive management.
Culture, Engagement & Multi-Site Relations:
Shape corporate culture, improve employee engagement, and manage employee relations across distributed restaurant teams.
Executive Collaboration:
Partner directly with the CEO/MD, Finance, Legal, Company Secretarial teams, internal auditors, and external advisors.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience: 18 to 22+ years of progressive HR experience, with a proven track record in senior leadership and organizational transformation.
Industry Focus: Prior leadership experience in multi-location consumer-facing businesses (Hospitality, Restaurant Chains, Retail, or QSR) is strongly preferred.
Core Competencies:
Extensive expertise in Indian labor law, statutory compliance, HR audits, and risk governance.
Exposure to pre-IPO preparation, due diligence, and building HR architecture from the ground up.
Strong strategic vision combined with high process orientation and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
