Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients and large employee populations.
Ensure accurate salary processing, deductions, reimbursements, variable pay, bonuses, and full & final settlements.
Manage Indian payroll statutory compliance, including Income Tax, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, LWF, e-TDS, Form 16, and TRACES.
Conduct payroll reconciliations, audits, validations, and maker-checker quality controls.
Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team while maintaining accuracy, productivity, SLA, and TAT.
Handle client relationships, payroll queries, escalations, and stakeholder coordination.
Prepare payroll MIS, compliance reports, management dashboards, journal vouchers (JVs), and reconciliations.
Drive payroll process improvements, automation, data security, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Key Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll operations, Indian statutory compliance, and experience managing multiple client payrolls or large employee populations (payroll outsourcing/managed services experience preferred).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software, advanced MS Excel, payroll audits, MIS, and reconciliation.
Competencies: Proven team leadership, strong communication, client/stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
