Job Description
WPP is hiring a Senior Analyst - Payroll for its Mumbai (Vikhroli) location. The role is responsible for managing and processing end-to-end India payroll operations while ensuring accurate and timely compensation, compliance with tax regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards. Responsibilities include handling in-house payroll activities, scheduling monthly payroll and statutory activities, coordinating payroll inputs with HR and business units, managing attendance data, final settlement processing, gratuity calculations, tax computations, payroll reconciliations, payroll vendor coordination, employee tax management, statutory compliance, Provident Fund administration, audit handling, and employee query resolution.
The position requires expertise in salary tax calculations, Chapter VI-A deductions, Section 10 exemptions, perquisite calculations, statutory compliance, Form 24Q filing, Form 16 generation, leave and gratuity actuarial valuation, wage code knowledge, and annual reporting activities. The incumbent will also manage payroll-related audits, government compliance requirements, and process improvements through technology adoption.
Candidates should have strong analytical skills, advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, excellent communication and presentation skills, multitasking capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. WPP follows a hybrid work model with teams working from the office approximately four days a week.
