Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head - HR to lead the complete Human Resources function for our client based in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be a strong HR Generalist and HR Operations leader who has the capability to build the HR function from the ground up, establish robust processes, develop the HR team, and create a people-centric organization aligned with business objectives. A female candidate is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end HR operations including HR strategy, policies, processes, employee lifecycle, and HR governance.
- Build and structure the HR function from scratch, including systems, processes, SOPs, and organizational frameworks.
- Develop and lead a high-performing HR team.
- Drive talent acquisition, workforce planning, and manpower management.
- Manage onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, learning & development, and retention.
- Establish effective HR policies, systems, MIS, and dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Partner closely with business leadership and stakeholders on organizational development and people strategy.
- Build a strong performance-driven and employee-centric culture.
- Drive HR transformation, process improvement, and automation wherever relevant.
- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.
- Support organizational expansion, manpower budgeting, and succession planning.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 12-20+ years of overall HR experience, with strong exposure to generalist HR and HR operations.
- Proven experience of setting up and developing an HR function from the ground up.
- Strong hands-on experience in managing end-to-end HR operations.
- Experience in Hospitality, Healthcare/Hospitals, Retail, Consumer, or other people-intensive industries.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, compliance, employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition.
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Mumbai-based candidates or candidates willing to relocate to Mumbai preferred.
