Job Description
Industry: Financial Technology Digital Payments and Financial Services Employee Size: India largest payment company by users, merchants, payment transactions, and revenue, pioneering mobile QR payments and voice alert soundboxes. We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end payroll operations across Paytm Group entities, ensuring accurate salary processing, statutory compliance, and seamless payroll integrations. Key Responsibilities include leading payroll processing for on-roll and off-roll employees across multiple entities, reviewing salary structures and variable-pay calculations, coordinating with finance, compliance, and HRBPs for salary disbursements and statutory remittances, ensuring full compliance with Indian tax and labor laws including TDS, PF, ESIC, PT, and LWF, managing payroll audits and internal controls, driving process improvements and automation, supervising junior team members, and acting as a primary point of contact for payroll queries. Qualifications require a graduate or postgraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, HR, or a related discipline, 8 to 10 years of experience in payroll operations within large multi-entity organizations, robust knowledge of Indian statutory compliance, hands-on experience with HRMS and payroll software, advanced Excel skills, and strong stakeholder management capabilities.
