TIAA is looking for an Associate - Global Payroll to join TIAA Global Capabilities in Pune, India. The Specialist, Global Payroll job is responsible for analyzing and reviewing the payroll compliance process within human resources, contributing to payroll processing procedures, and answering employee payroll questions. Key Responsibilities: Review payroll data, production records, and individual attendance records within the HRIS and payroll system to ensure accuracy, calculate gross and net pay amounts including salary, timesheets, overtime, commissions, bonuses, and tax withholdings, work on retroactive location changes, travel allocations, wage corrections, tax validation, garnishment processing, and W-2 corrections, reconcile payroll records and ensure balance of payroll runs, respond and manage employee inquiries and troubleshooting issues, coordinate and process one-time, bonus, and executive deferred compensation payments, perform periodic audits of payroll data, maintain day-to-day relationships with internal and external payroll partners, prepare and file tax reports, communicate with third-party payroll and tax reporting vendors, partner regarding unemployment and garnishment notices. Ideal Candidate: University degree preferred, 5+ years of hands-on payroll experience with 3+ years in US payroll hands-on experience as a must, thorough understanding of payroll systems, processes, payroll tax laws, direct deposits, benefits, and deductions, sound communication and diplomacy skills, integrity and professionalism to handle confidential information, good knowledge of MS Excel, self-starter detail-oriented with analytical thinking skills, open to US shift timings and extended shift timings as per business needs.
